IPS-Inter Press Service was founded
in 1964 by Italian-Argentine journalist Dr
Roberto Savio and Argentine journalist Pablo Piacentini.
IPS is an international, not-for-profit association
of professional journalists and others in the field

In addition, IPS promotes a global communication strategy
that aims to bring together civil society, policy makers,
and the media at national and international levels.
IPS qualifies in the United States as a 501(c) (3)
