DC Comics created the “DC Cinematic Universe” in response to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the “DCEU” (for DC Extended Universe, the other name of the DC cinematic universe), we find a dozen films already released whose main characters are members of the Justice League: Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, or Aquaman. But beware, the films released over the past 10 years with characters from DC Comics are not necessarily part of this universe. We take stock of this issue.

Justice League

If you are more Superman and Batman than Spider-Man and Captain America, that means you are more DC Comics that Marvel Comics. The anthology of characters is as grandiose on one side as on the other. At Marvel, there’s Iron Man, Captain Marvel, the X-Men, Hulk, Thor, Fantastic Four, and more. And at DC, you find Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Green Arrow, etc. And each universe has its own “leg”.

These two publishers have been competing on the stalls of newsstands, bookstores and comic book stores since the late 1930s in the United States. But they also compete on television and… in the cinema. Even if the films of Marvel heroes today monopolize the box office (in particular The Avengers Endgame which broke many records), these are the films of Superman and 1978 et Batman in 1989 that the spectators remembered more.

Hoping to regain some good momentum in cinema and capitalize on the craze for superhero movies (thanks to Marvel’s efforts), DC made the decision to create your own universe for cinema. With the same consistency. With the same care given to the visual. But not necessarily with the same scripting strategy. The project is formalized by Warner Bros., the parent company of DC Comics, in 2008. The decision is made thanks to the commercial success of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. And the first film to be part of this universe is Man of Steel, the Superman reboot released in 2013.

As with the comics, the universe of DC in film and television is not unique, but multiple. Some films, even the most recent, are not included. This is the case of Joker, released in 2017, and The Batman, which will be released in 2022. We have not retained them for this file. The same goes for the series of the ”Arrowverse”: Arrow, Flash, Constantine, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, Batwoman and Superman & Lois (the 2021 reboot). Here we offer you two ways to see the DC Cinematic Universe movies. It’s up to you to choose the one that suits you best.

Order of films by release date

The cinematographic universe is made up today of 10 films released in theaters, including the original version of Justice League by Zack Snyder. Here we offer you a fairly classic viewing order: that of the release of the films. So that doesn’t take into account movies that take place earlier in time (both Wonder Women). We also leave Zack Snyder’s original version of Justice League here as it is released. We also include the four films confirmed which will be released between 2022 and 2023 and the Peacemaker series scheduled for next year on HBO Max.

Order of movies according to the DC Universe timeline

For this second order, we have taken care to respect the chronological order of the film scripts. Indeed, some films take place before other feature films previously released in the cinema. This is particularly the case of Wonder Woman. This new order is therefore intended to be more respectful of the chronology of the universe. And this even if consistency is not always there. We have not included the films currently in production, because the script of these films could change that order. In contrast, you will find the Peacemaker series there which claims to be a spin-off from the Suicide Squad films.

Note that since 2017 and the release of Wonder Woman, Warner Bros. and DC Comics prefer that DC Cinematic Universe films are more independent of each other. And this even if the next film The Flash, nicknamed Flashpoint in reference to the eponymous comic book during which Flash reorganized the DC multiverse, will include at least two versions of Batman. This dossier will continue to be updated as the next films hit theaters or arrive on streaming services. And if that isn’t enough for you, you can always take a look at the competition and our Marvel Cinematic Universe Movies Folder.

The Covid-19 epidemic is on the rise in Occitania. And the Regional Health Agency (ARS) warns: “The fifth wave is skyrocketing, with an incidence rate constantly and very rapidly changing for several weeks”.

An incidence rate of 542 in Occitania

The incidence rate which, let us remember, is the number of cases per 100,000 inhabitants, climbed, in one week, from 399 to 542 in the region. “The number of new cases now exceeds the latest epidemic waves in Occitania,” continues the ARS, which was forced to trigger the white plan in hospitals in Toulouse and the region and all health establishments, Wednesday December 2021.

30 deaths in three days

Friday, December 10, 1,217 hospitalizations were underway (including 257 people in intensive care) and 30 people have died in hospitals in the last three days.

The situation, department by department

The ARS has published the map of the incidence rate by department. Three of them are above 600. Here is the situation, in detail:

Over a million booster doses

In Occitania, more than 1.22 million booster doses (the equivalent of the third dose) have already been administered and 12 vaccination centers have been opened in Haute-Garonne, including the vaccinodrome on Ile du Ramier, which has resumed service and aim for 3,500 injections per day.

The flood peak that occurred during the night of Friday 10 December to Saturday 11 December did not cause any additional damage. The recession has started, but floods persist north of the Adour

Friday evening, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Landes were placed on red alert. The flood peak expected at 11:07 p.m. was ultimately less problematic than expected, indicates the prefecture of 64, this Saturday, December 11. In total, since Thursday, 3 p.m., 350 interventions have mobilized the firefighters. Currently, a dozen are still in progress, especially on the Adour side.

Nautical teams are always on standby, as a precaution. In Bayonne, if the level fell by one meter overnight, it rose slightly by 30 centimeters this Saturday noon, following high tide. 120 firefighters, gendarmerie and police personnel remain mobilized on the ground.

Preventive evacuations

More precisely at the Bec des Gaves, on the Basque-Landes border. Preventive evacuations of houses were carried out in Guiche, Urt, Sames and Lahonce, this Saturday morning. A reconnaissance of the places is currently being carried out by Sdis.

The recession begins slowly and, as a precaution, to avoid new relief interventions, the prefecture asks the inhabitants of Pyrénées-Atlantiques to limit their movements as much as possible.

Decreasing precipitation

After the record amounts of water that fell in the department in 24 hours, and in particular in Laruns, in the Ossau valley, the precipitation will weaken during the day. Sunday will also be much less humid.

The rain-snow limit, at 1,200 meters this Saturday morning, will however rise from here this Saturday evening to 1,800, or even 2,000 meters. The avalanche risk went from alert level 5 to a more reasonable 3.

In Laruns, a pocket of potentially slippery ground threatening a power line is under surveillance.

50 roads cut

The six rivers of the department, the Nive, the Nivelle, the Saison, the Bec du Gave and the gaves of Pau and Oloron, the day before in flood, went down to an orange or even yellow alert level. 39 roads in the department are still cut this Saturday morning. This is the case of the RD 122 for example, at La Pierre Saint-Martin, buried by a mudslide.

In Larrau, the situation is not getting better. This Saturday morning, the RD19 towards the chalets of Iraty is blocked, following a collapse of the land. Yesterday already, the road which led to the village of Larrau had been buried by a landslide, forcing one to go through Iraty to reach it.

Rail traffic

Disruptions are still to be expected from the SNCF side, on the Pau / Artix and Bedous / Oloron links. The Bayonne / Puyoô route will remain closed on Monday. As for Bayonne / Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, substitute buses have been set up.

In Bayonne

In Bayonne, access to the quays is still prohibited. The Basque Museum and the history of Bayonne has indicated that it will remain closed this Saturday. However, it will be open on Sunday. All the Christmas activities planned for this Saturday have been postponed until tomorrow, Sunday 12 December.

Bus side

Lines 5 and 30 are diverted in the Bayonne Saint-André sector. The stops at Place Saint-André, Arsenal, Pont du Génie, Lauga and Cassin are not served and are transferred to the Réduit, Boufflers or J. Loeb stops. The free shuttle N1 (Glain / Mairie de Bayonne) does not run.

Line 52 is diverted in the Bassussarry sector. The Distitsar and Errecartia stops are not served and are postponed to the Xoko Tiki stop.

POLICY – Some thought it was a joke, it lasted all day Friday, December 10th. Arnaud Montebourg, official candidate of the “Remontada de la France” chose to make phone calls to his competitors on the left to try to convince them of a rally. A staging widely mocked on social networks and which has not really moved the political lines.

After falling on the answering machines of Fabien Roussel (PCF candidate), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI candidate), Yannick Jadot (EELV) and Anne Hidalgo (PS) to whom he left voice messages punctuated by a very “friendship”. identifiable, the former Minister of Productive Recovery announced Friday, December 10 in the evening to have been able to contact two out of four.

“Jean-Luc Mélenchon said ‘no’”

“Summary of the telephone operations of the day, this morning Jean-Luc Mélenchon on the phone, a cordial interview of high quality, he said ‘no’, he will not do it, he thinks he can win alone. This evening Anne Hidalgo or it is the primary, or she will maintain her candidacy. Here we have a very small progress ”, reports the candidate who announced himself that he was ready to withdraw in the event of union.

It is difficult to perceive what has “progressed” after this series of phone calls. From the turnaround of Anne Hidalgo on her choice to participate in a primary, Wednesday, December 8, the mayor of Paris was opposed to a clear end to receive from her competitors. “With this kind of comedy, you end up disgusting everyone”, criticized Jean-Luc Mélenchon to the press on December 9. The next day, he tapped on his Parisian balance sheet in a tweet: “To know what absurd blockages Hidalgo is capable of, just try to move around Paris”.

Anne Hidalgo’s first deputy, Emmanuel Grégoire, responded with a map of the Paris metro. Exchanges of enmities that do not advance any gathering. If the rebels do not intend to participate in the union, it is above all for programmatic reasons. They are in disagreement with Social Democracy, believe that François Hollande’s mandate has helped to drown the left and want to get out of European treaties, which is not on the Socialists’ program.

With two presidential campaigns behind him, the rebellious has the experience and is convinced that this time will be the good one by going to seek the abstainers. While he rarely passes the 10% mark in the polls, Arnaud Montebourg repeats that he “cannot win alone”.

As for Anne Hidalgo, she repeated over the phone, according to the candidate, what she had already said on TF1’s television news: she is positioning herself for the primary, but if no one participates, she maintains her candidacy. No big surprise therefore for these phone calls which will have especially contributed to discredit a little more a candidate who has put all his camp to back with a proposal from the extreme right (which he has since withdrawn) consisting in taxing money transfers from immigrant workers to put pressure on the countries of origin to take back the illegal ones.

In fact, the situation on the left has been known for a long time. Last spring, Yannick Jadot, not yet nominated candidate for his camp, led the offensive and organized two meetings with all of the potential candidates or their representatives. Failure.

Jadot already designated by a primary

Since then, the one who was appointed at the end of an open primary which brought together 122,000 voters does not intend to put his legitimacy into play, during a new primary. It would indeed be difficult to assume vis-à-vis its electorate and the party authorities which have chosen this method of appointment and this strategy for the presidential election.

Yannick Jadot also withdrew from the 2017 race, in favor of Benoît Hamon – with the poor result that we know – and at the end of a primary within his party. He therefore does not want to repeat this error.

Especially since since, ecology has the wind in its sails and it can boast of having been the first left force in the Europeans of 2019 with 13% of the votes. In 2020, it is large cities that environmentalists have succeeded in winning, such as Lyon, Strasbourg or Poitiers. Despite the blunders of the newly elected, the candidate knows that there is an electoral base on these themes and therefore has no reason at this stage to change his strategy.

Despite the blunders of the newly elected, the candidate knows that there is an electoral base on these themes and therefore has no reason at this stage to change his strategy.

The craze for these ursids is unabated. From 8 a.m. this Saturday, a large queue formed at the entrance to the Beauval Zoological Park (Loir-et-Cher), where the two baby pandas, females were presented to the public for the first time. born four months ago right here. Dressed from head to toe in the effigy of plantigrades (sweatshirt, scarf, pants, shoes, and even masks), Véronique and her husband Patrice made the trip from Bordeaux (Gironde). After booking accommodation in the region, they hit the road on Friday afternoon, joined by a friend who left Montpellier (Hérault). Paul, in his twenties, has made a two-hour drive from Orléans (Loiret) to admire and photograph Huanlili and Yuandudu, through the large picture windows that separate them from visitors. He made up himself for the occasion and wears a fleece with a hood representing a panda’s head. “It’s like a culmination for me to be here this morning. I’ve been following them on the park’s social networks for months. This double birth is only the second in France, after that in 2017 of Yuan Meng, the big brother of Huanlili and Yuandudu, also in Beauval.

After a long decline, the population of giant pandas has increased by 17% in ten years, thanks to the establishment of conservation programs and nature reserves, in the center and west of the Middle Empire. Formerly listed on the global red list of threatened species, the plantigrade has moved from the “endangered” to “vulnerable” category. However, it is still threatened by deforestation and climate change.

The UK has granted 23 additional licenses to French fishermen, a UK government spokesperson said on Saturday (December 11th). The announcement comes the day after a deadline set by the French government in the post-Brexit fishing rights dispute.

This number remains far below the 104 licenses demanded by France in recent days, which threatened to go to litigation in the absence before Friday of “Goodwill gesture” from London.

“Yesterday evening, after receiving additional supporting documents from the European Commission, the UK granted 18 licenses to replacement vessels” taking the place of boats previously fishing in UK waters. This announcement has been confirmed by the European Commission, which is negotiating on behalf of France. “More in-depth technical work continues on seven additional license applications for replacement vessels, and is expected to be concluded on Monday”, added the British spokesperson.

In addition, the Anglo-Norman island of Jersey, which grants its licenses independently, on Saturday approved 5 new licenses for French fishermen, said the same spokesperson. According to him, these decisions “Conclude the period of intensive talks” of the last days between London and the European Commission.

France is still asking for 81 licenses

Under the agreement signed at the end of 2020 between London and Brussels, European fishermen can continue to work in British waters provided they can prove that they have previously fished there. But, for more than eleven months, the French and the British have been arguing over the nature and extent of the supporting documents to be provided.

With the 23 approvals announced on Saturday, France has so far obtained 1,027 post-Brexit fishing licenses and is therefore claiming another 81. “This decision is an important step in a long process. We will examine (…) the legal basis for each license request that has not yet been approved ”, highlighted Saturday on Twitter the European Commissioner for Fisheries, Virginijus Sinkevicius.

Paris will he abandon the path of official litigation so far? The government must allow time for reflection over the weekend to know what response to adopt. Several scenarios were envisaged, from the darkest to the most optimistic. If the UK were to stick to its hard stance, France could ask the European Commission “To announce that a dispute is initiated”, to use the words of the Secretary of State for European Affairs, Clément Beaune.

On the other hand, a “Strong gesture”of the order of about sixty licenses granted to French fishermen, as well as a relaxation of the criteria imposed by the British – would be likely to deflate the crisis, it is estimated in Paris.

Ambivalences left in the Brexit agreement

The French position must be decided between Clément Beaune and the Prime Minister, Jean Castex. But Emmanuel Macron is also looking closely at this subject of high symbolic value, four months before the presidential election. “I really want to have a government [britannique] who simply wishes to work in good faith with us ”, said the head of state on Thursday. “We will not let go of our fishermen”, he had assured, on November 19, promising to receive them before Christmas.

The disagreement stems from the ambivalences left in the Brexit deal. Boats able to prove that they were in UK waters between 2012 and 2016 may be licensed. But the evidence to be brought has not been clearly defined. For smaller vessels, less than twelve meters, which do not have GPS data, they are sometimes difficult to provide. The problem also concerns fishermen who have changed boats, who are not automatically recognized. These discussions, which could have remained technical, have become a political symbol.

(BFM Bourse) – Among the largest capitalizations on the planet, Hermès holds the world record for the number of years that have elapsed between its creation date and that of its IPO.

For some, (stock market) value does not wait for the number of years. Many of the largest caps on the planet correspond to companies that went public very soon after their birth. Apple to begin with: founded in 1976, the group entered Wall Street in 1980. This precocity is quite characteristic of most of the digital giants. Microsoft waited eleven years (from 1975 to 1986), Facebook eight (2004 to 2012), Amazon barely three (1994 to 1997).

But other companies have taken their time, a lot of time. According to a study by Tide, a British fintech offering banking services to SMEs and mid-cap companies, some companies now with considerable capitalizations have lived for decades, or even well over a century, before going public. .

This is the case, for example, of Hermès, which holds the record, with 162 years between the date of creation of the luxury group and its arrival on the stock market. Behind, we find Philip Morris (161 years) and Goldman Sachs (130 years).

Apart from the sample studied by Tide, whose study concerns very large capitalizations, the Paris Stock Exchange has recently welcomed a curiosity. Omer-Decugis & Cie was indeed listed on Euronext Growth this summer. However, this specialist in the trade of fresh fruits and vegetables, in particular exotic fruits, was created in 1850. The current CEO, Vincent Omer-Decugis, represents the sixth generation at the head of the company without stopping. Thus, the company went public 171 years after its creation: undoubtedly a world record, such old companies are not legion.

By industry, according to Tide, e-commerce produces early introductions, on average 8.75 years after starting a business. The average lead time in business services is 12 years, and 12.75 years for telecoms. In fact, tech as a whole only comes in fourth place with an average lead time of 13.52 years. The automobile is not that far away with 14.33 years on average between creation and IPO. It must be said that the historic builders were generally introduced quite quickly at the time. More recently, Tesla took seven years to list (entered the Nasdaq in 2010 for a creation in 2003).

[content] => Array ( [encoded] =>

The Serbian Republic has followed through on its threats by having its parliament pass laws separating it from the central state of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday, December 10. As announced by the elected Serbian to the tripartite presidency of Bosnia, Milorad Dodik, these laws, applicable within six months, concern defense (army and intelligence services), justice and taxation. If they were applied in June 2022, this would de facto lead to the Bosnian-Serbian nationalist camp to secede from Sarajevo. The last time such a Serbian plan was implemented, thirty years ago, was war.

For Milorad Dodik, the six-month period that begins “Will show if Bosnia and Herzegovina can survive”. His “Thinks she can’t”, he reminded the deputies. The strong man of Banja Luka calls for the withdrawal of the 142 laws adopted since the Dayton peace agreement of 1995 to strengthen the central state to the detriment of the two entities that make up the country – the Serbian Republic and the Bosnian-Croat Federation – , and no longer recognizes the authority of the high international representative in Bosnia, Christian Schmidt.

“Attack on the peace”

Mr. Dodik’s failure on Friday in the Parliament of Banja Luka, the capital of the Serbian Republic, was to fail to convince the Bosnian-Serb opposition forces to follow him. Opposition leader Mirko Sarovic said “The path chosen by Mr. Dodik is dangerous”, and “Whoever thinks he can do this without war is mistaken”. Ironically in political life, Mr. Sarovic now heads the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), created by Radovan Karadzic, the Bosnian-Serbian political leader of the war years, therefore the party which seceded in 1992 and triggered, on order from Belgrade, the Bosnian War. The decisions were this time voted by the only deputies of the Party of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) of Mr. Dodik.

The other two Bosnian co-chairs responded to the threat. Sefik Dzaferovic, elected Bosnian Muslim nationalist, said that “The attack on the state and against the constitutional order is an attack on peace”. Zeljko Komsic, elected non-nationalist Croatian, who represents a line for a unitary Bosnia, called on the Constitutional Court to “Prosecute those responsible” of this separatist threat.

For Milorad Dodik to carry out his threats is a failure for the maker of the Dayton Accord, the United States, as well as for the European Union (EU), which has taken over from the forces of the United States. NATO to guarantee peace in Bosnia. While Mr Dodik is strongly supported on one side by Serbia and Russia, and on the other side by Bosnian-Croat nationalist forces and Croatia, the EU does not appear to have the political clout to stop the separatist process. It is itself divided, with certain nationalist European leaders, such as those from Hungary or Slovenia, also supporting Mr Dodik. Maintaining peace in the former Yugoslavia will therefore be, until June 2022, one of the major challenges of the French presidency of the EU.

At least fifty people have died in Kentucky as a result of a tornado, said U.S. state governor Andrew Beshear on Saturday (December 11). “I’m afraid there are more than 50 dead in Kentucky (…), we are probably closer to 70 to 100 dead, it’s awful ”, he said at a press conference.

“Last night Western Kentucky suffered some of the worst tornado damage we’ve ever seen, and we urge everyone to stay in a safe place.”, said the governor.

Several counties were devastated by the strong tornado which traveled more than 300 kilometers in this state. The collapsed roof of a candle-making factory “Made countless victims” in the town of Mayfield, said Beshear.

“Before midnight, I declared a state of emergency”, he added, specifying that search and rescue teams had been deployed in this chaos aggravated by the power cuts. Photos and videos of Mayfield, shared on social media, show gutted buildings, twisted metal, trees and bricks strewn across the streets.

The storm claimed victims and damaged several states in the southeast and south-central United States on Friday.

On Saturday, in Illinois, Amazon employees were trapped in a warehouse ravaged by a storm the day before. The Collinsville Emergency Management Agency referred to “Many people trapped in the Amazon warehouse” of Edwardsville, with local media reporting about 100 people still inside.

Amazon workers were trapped in the storm-ravaged warehouse they worked in Edwardsville, Ill. On December 10, 2021.

The emergency services worked until the early hours on Saturday to try to clear from the installation, a third of which is nothing more than rubble, these people who worked at night to process orders before the Christmas holidays. No assessment of possible victims was put forward.

Images from the warehouse, shared by US news channels and social media, show much of the installation’s roof torn off, one of the walls collapsed in the building and rubble strewn across the site.

Three dead in Arkansas and Tennessee

Illinois Governor Jay Robert Pritzker said he was addressing his “Prayers to the people of Edwardsville” pointing out that the Illinois Police and Emergency Management Agency were coordinating “Closely their actions with local officials”.

In a statement to local media, Richard Rocha, spokesperson for Amazon, claimed that “Security and well-being” of Amazon employees and partners were the “Top priority” of the group. “We are assessing the situation and will share additional information as soon as it becomes available”, he added.

In the state of Arkansas, one person was killed and twenty were trapped in a nursing home, according to media reports. But rescuers managed to evacuate the trapped people from the building whose structure was “Practically destroyed”Craighead County official Marvin Day told local news stations.

In Tennessee, at least two people were killed in incidents related to the storm, according to an emergency management official quoted by local media. Tornadoes also hit Missouri.

The passage of tornadoes is a weather phenomenon that affects the United States every year, but several scientists have warned that climate change is increasing the size and frequency of storms.
