IPS, in cooperation with the UNDP Albania, organised a journalists’ seminar on June 18-19 as part of the IPS-UNDP Albania project. The seminar was attended by nine Albanian and three IPS journalists from the region: Claudia Ciobanu (Bucharest), Zoltan Dujisin (Budapest) and Vesna Peric Zimonjic (Belgrade). The three spent several days gathering information about Albania and writing reports for the project.

IPS Asia-Pacific has selected its group of fellows for the 2006-07 cycle of the Imaging Our Mekong programme — 21 of them, consisting of 12 working on general cross-border issues and eight working on avian flu H5N1 virus as a transboundary issue.

IPS Latin America is fully implementing the MDG project supported by UNDP. The project envisages the production of MDG related stories, translation to Portuguese, English and other languages produced by IPS to be later distributed globally through its wire.
