IPS Director General, Mario Lubetkin, was invited to the third edition of the International Participants Meeting (IPM) for Expo Milano 2015 on October 3-4, at the Lingotto in Turin, Italy. Two days were dedicated to the Universal Expo theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” with representatives from over one hundred countries.

Bangkok, Thailand will host the Global Forum on Media and Gender (GFMG) from 2 to 4 December 2013. The event will address gender equality and women’s empowerment in and through the media. As a partner of UNESCO, which is the main organiser of the Forum, IPS will contribute its expertise in mainstreaming gender in its news products and producing media training manuals, events and platforms on different gender and development issues. IPSTVlogurlsmIPS is pleased to share with you content produced for the “Food and Media Talks” by IPSTV during the 38th Biennial Conference of the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), this past week June 15-22, in Rome.

The “Food and Media Talks”, transmitted daily, marked the pilot phase of the daily programs of IPSTV which will begin in September 2013.

Further to the daily media talks, IPSTV had the opportunity to interview Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen and the President of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro.
