Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC) and IPS signed a content collaboration agreement on the first day of the 4th International Public Media Forum, held in Brasilia, on August 29.

EBC director general Eduardo Castro and IPS director general Mario Lubetkin stressed the importance of collaboration between the agencies working together and sharing experience.

foromediosThe role of public media and its future trends will be discussed during the 4th International Public Media Forum – Sustainability, Inclusion and the New Latin American Reality, which will take place at the Empresa Brasil de Comunicação’s (EBC) Cultural Space on August 29th and 30th in Brasilia.

The conference is co-sponsored by the World Bank and the Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC), and has the institutional support of the Office of the President of the Republic’s Communication Secretariat (Secom) and the Inter Press Service (IPS) news agency. Read more »

Bangkok, Thailand will host the Global Forum on Media and Gender (GFMG) from 2 to 4 December 2013. The event will address gender equality and women’s empowerment in and through the media. As a partner of UNESCO, which is the main organiser of the Forum, IPS will contribute its expertise in mainstreaming gender in its news products and producing media training manuals, events and platforms on different gender and development issues.
