A TerraViva conference newspaper in Italian was produced this month for the first time. Three editions were published during the “Stati Generali della Solidarieta’ e Cooperazione Internazionale”, held on 22-24 November in Rome.

The “Stati Generali” were an opportunity for Italian civil society committed with international solidarity fighting against poverty, to discuss and identify a common platform of Italian policies with regard to peace, solidarity, sustainable development, cancellation of debt, cooperation and international commerce. Also a possibility to exchange experiences with international organizations who work in the same field.

Sabina Zaccaro, IPS correspondent in Italy, with the support of Claudia Diez de Medina in Rome and Alejandro Kirk in Santiago produced the newspaper. Translations were done by Francesca Buffo and Francesca Murmura.
