This past April, the group of Friends of Inter Press Service organized a seminar on “The future of the World Social Forum A vision from the communication perspective”. Among key speakers were Ignacio Ramonet, Director of Le Monde Diplomatique, and Mario Lubetkin, IPS Director General.

The seminar saw the participation of parliamentarians and advisors to main European political parties, among which: Socialist Group in the European Parliament, Party of the European Left, Confederal Group of the European United Left, Group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe and European People.
