Mario Lubetkin, IPS Director General, travelled to Brazil from 26 to 27 June 2007 to attend a meeting organized by the Brazilian government in the frame of India-Brazil-South Africa Initiative (IBSA) and to give continuity to discussions held in Rio during IPS meetings in 2006 where possible ways of cooperation between IPS and IBSA were identified.

The meeting discussed the proposal of a series of initiatives in the field of communication presented by the IPS DG.
