IPS Asia-Pacific has selected its group of fellows for the 2006-07 cycle of the Imaging Our Mekong programme — 21 of them, consisting of 12 working on general cross-border issues and eight working on avian flu H5N1 virus as a transboundary issue.
This also marks the start of a new avian flu series covering the region, for which IPS Asia-Pacific worked on new funding for.
The fellows are from China, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia, Of the total, four are photojournalists and the rest
are print journalists.
Apart from the 21 print and photo fellows, however, there are 18 other fellows working on TV and film, bringing to 39 the total number of fellows for the 2006-07 cycle of the Imaging Our Mekong programme.
