UN Democracy Fund - IPS is delighted to be among the first recipients of a grant from the new UN Democracy Fund. Only 125 out of more than 1,300 applications were successful so we did well.

Our proposal, made jointly with UNIFEM, is called Strengthening the Voice and Visibility of Women in Elections and will be implemented in Africa in 2007 and 2008.
