IPS proudly presented Mr. Kofi Annan, outgoing UN Secretary-General, with the 2006 IPS International Achievement Award, in the course of a ceremony held in New York on December 19, at the UN Delegates Dining Room.

Welcoming remarks were given by Claude Robinson, former IPS Bureau Chief; H.E. Mr. Dumisani Kumalo, Chairman of the Group of 77; and by IPS Director General.
