IPS Arabic ServiceIPS Arabic has been re-launched early April as an integral part of its multi-lingual daily services, offering some 400 million people in 22 States in the Arab region a view of the world distinctly different from that of the mainstream media.

The Arab region is not only an indivisible part of the global South, which is a cornerstone of IPS coverage. It is also one of the world’s most vibrant areas, which despite heavy odds is steadily moving towards the achievement of democracy, human rights and social equality.

IPS news and analyses have been made available in Arabic as adjunct to media projects in the last nearly seven years. During this period, IPS Arabic succeeded in finding inroads into a domain where information has been traditionally, largely dominated by the western media. More than 150 Arab print and online media started using IPS Arabic Service.

The Arabic Service will be an integral part of IPS regular services, in addition to the daily English, Spanish, French, Flemish, German, Portuguese and Swedish services as well as the biweekly in Japanese and the weekly in Finnish.
