BANGKOK – Registration is now open for the Media Mekong Forum (www.mekongmediaforum.net ), a conference that will gather Mekong journalists, as well as policymakers and individuals, to discuss the state of media, and exchange ideas and experiences against the backdrop of media as a actor of social change. The Forum will be held on Dec. 9-12, 2009 in the northern Thai city of Chiang Mai.

The conference will be attended by a mix of funded participants, scholars and individual and institutional attendees. There will be also be gender-focused sessions, organised within the Forum with support from the MDG-3 Fund.
