Online Content and Community Manager Aprille Muscara, based in Washington, D.C., implements and monitors IPS’s online strategy to expand the agency’s reach, including overseeing its social networking and new media presences. She coordinates with the Associate Editor in Chief and the Technical Director.

Aprille has written for IPS since 2010 as a United Nations correspondent in New York and the Deputy Bureau Chief in Washington, D.C., covering global issues, international development, human rights and United States foreign policy. She also helps co-ordinate the North America intern programme. Aprille studied international relations, political science and communication at the University of California, Los Angeles and University of California, San Diego and was born in Baguio City, Philippines.
