Terna Gyuse, based in Cape Town, South Africa, oversees production of articles from Africa along with the editor from francophone Africa — Ali Idrissou-Toure — who is based in Cotonou. He coordinates with the Editor in Chief, and forms part of the IPS editorial team.

The latest in an illustrious line of IPS Africa editors with a background in radio, Terna has worked as a researcher, host, writer and producer of news and current affairs programmes for more than a decade. He has previously been news director at CKUT 90.3 FM in Montreal, host and producer for Radio Canada International, and Assistant Producer for Free Speech Radio News, a daily half-hour broadcast heard across the United States. He was also coordinator of a pilot project to establish an Africa-wide labour broadcast for Workers World Media Productions.
