Konjufca: It does not make the final agreement with Serbia a condition for liberalization

The Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca said today that the dialogue with Serbia can last for years, referring to the high ambitions of Serbia against Kosovo.

Konjufca made these comments after talking about the possibility that visa liberalization could be new for a final agreement in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, which according to him, if this happened would be a big mistake.

He said that Kosovo has met the criteria for visa liberalization in 2017 and so far the EU has kept this process separate from that with dialogue, reports Zeri.info.

“It would be good for our institutions not to link visa liberalization with the dialogue with Serbia. To date, the EU has managed to keep liberalization and talks with Serbia as a separate process, and if anyone thinks that visa liberalization imposes an additional condition in relation to the dialogue with Serbia, this would be bad news for the citizens of Kosovo.

“Kosovo has completed the criteria for meeting the conditions for visa liberalization in 2017. After that, moving visa liberalization as a condition in the dialogue with Serbia would be a degradation of the visa liberalization assessment process”, said Konjufca.

He thinks that the Government of Kosovo and every representative of the institutions should take a stand so that the dialogue with Serbia is not mixed with visa liberalization, because according to him the dialogue with Serbia can last for years and citizens should not be held hostage to this. , transmits Zeri.info.

“The dialogue with Serbia can last for years, that possibility is not ruled out, we want it to be done even faster, but it is difficult to have a dialogue quickly when Vucic thinks he should get something in Kosovo, with these attitudes of Vucic, “With these high ambitions of Serbia, do not rule out that the dialogue may last for years, but visa liberalization should not be involved in this process because the citizens of Kosovo remain hostage,” said Konjufca. / Voice

Prishtina, 18 teams will be distributed in five FMCs

The municipality of Prishtina is ready for mass vaccination of citizens, said Deputy Mayor Muhedin Nushi.

Further, he said that the municipality with 5 teams is assisting the Ministry of Health for vaccination, adding that they are prepared to distribute 18 more teams in 5 family medicine centers.

“The municipality of Prishtina even now helps the government level with vaccinations in the sports center with 5 teams. We are with 5 teams every day present with the vaccination of citizens. We are ready for vaccination and we are ready to vaccinate up to 2000 citizens during the day. We are prepared to distribute them to 5 family medicine centers for vaccination of citizens “.

“We have 18 teams prepared for mass vaccination which is expected to be operational very soon, given that the agreement for the arrival of 1.2 million Pfizer vaccines has already been signed, therefore the municipality is ready for vaccination.”

According to him, registered in the social scheme are 1 562 are families, emphasizing that everyone who has been infected this year has been helped with food packages and hygiene packages.

“Registered in the social scheme are 1 562 are families, but even during the last year there has been an increase in this number. From March to June there was an increase and we helped about 3,200 families last year. Give us food and hygiene packages. While during this year we have continued with all those families which are in the social scheme “.

“Therefore, every family that has been infected and has not been in the social scheme during this year has been helped with food packages and hygiene packages. “Therefore, we are able to stand by every family so that we do not have at least social problems in this aspect”, he said.

However he said that 4 941 businesses have been beneficiaries of the 5 million euro package and that so far they have paid for 3 500 businesses over 3.5 million euros.

Among other things, Vice President Nushi stressed that the subsidy will end on June 25.

“Businesses have been helped with a package of 5 million euros over the past year. Currently, out of the 5 million package, we are at the end of the realization of the complete package. The team is scheduled to work on Saturdays and Sundays and this is one of the priorities of the municipality of Prishtina. 3,467 businesses have been subsidized, they are subsidized with a lot of 600 euros if it is a micro business and 1,300 euros if it is a small business. “4 941 businesses have been beneficiaries of the 5 million euro package and so far we have paid for 3,500 businesses over 3.5 million euros”.

“This subsidy will end on June 25. We are still helping every family that reports on food and hygiene packages receives those packages. It is normal that there may be delays for there is no family left that has had a request and which has not received a package. As for the businesses with other packages, whether we will help them depends on the situations that will be created in the future, although we do not expect any deterioration of the situation in June and July. “But if the situation worsens, we will also take measures, regardless of whether it is the time of electoral campaigns and the time of local elections.”

After laying the wreath, Aleksandar Vučić talked to the veterans of the Battle of Košare, who also laid the wreath at the monument, and thanked them for everything they did for the homeland.

“If we haven’t done anything else, at least today we can talk about those who died and your role,” Vucic shared that fact with the veterans.

He added that he would like to see them again around Vidovdan and to discuss everything in detail, so that they can see what else can be done for them, but, as he said, something that is real, and not what is not possible.

“But, when I see you, I get extra energy to fight for Serbia even harder with at least that little risk,” said Vucic, adding: “I thank you endlessly for the part you gave to Serbia and let’s try not to forget it together.”

We must not allow that, the fighters from Košar replied.

“Glory to all your fallen heroes. I wish you all the best, and now I am going to Brussels,” said Vucic.

Minister of Labor, Employment, Veterans’ Affairs and Social Affairs Darija Kisić Tepavčević also laid a wreath with the President

A monument to the heroes from Košar was erected last year in a park near the KBC “Dr Dragiša Mišović”.

On this day 22 years ago, the battle of Košare ended, during which members of the army of FR Yugoslavia defended the state border for 67 days and prevented the ground invasion of the terrorist KLA from Albania into the territory of Serbia.

The names of 108 soldiers, non-commissioned officers, officers, reservists and volunteers who died in 1999 at the Kosara watchtower are engraved on the pedestal.

The author of the monument, sculptor Misha Rogan, showed the act of heroism of officers and soldiers who gave their lives defending the homeland.

The battle began on April 9, 1999

The battle of Košare began on April 9, 1999, when members of the terrorist KLA, with the help of NATO aviation, tried to carry out a ground invasion through the watchtower on the watchtower on the Yugoslav-Albanian border in the Junički mountains.

The part of the state border around the Kosara watchtower was protected by about 100 members of the 53rd Border Battalion, who opposed a tenfold stronger enemy during the first two days of fighting.

A platoon of military police soon arrived to help the border guards, but the attack was violent and KLA forces managed to take the positions of Rasa Kosarez and Maja Glava, points from which every movement towards the border line was controlled, and they also occupied the watchtower building.

With the arrival of the members of the 125th Motorized Brigade, a line of defense was formed, which prevented further penetration of the enemy.

In the following days, the army tried to regain Rasa Kosarez and Maja Glava, and members of the 72nd Special and 63rd Parachute Brigades joined them.

The front line was stabilized, and the fighting did not abate.

The fighting in Košare lasted until June 14, 1999, when the Yugoslav Army withdrew from Kosovo and Metohija after the Kumanovo Agreement.

June 14, 2021 – 08:30

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, is in Brussels today to attend a NATO summit.

Biden will join other alliance leaders and hold a private meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

NATO members have not met face to face since 2018, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The agenda of the discussions is expected to include: troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, relations with Russia and China, defense spending and more.

Ahead of the summit, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg said the meeting came “at a crucial moment for the alliance” and for “collective security”, as well as a “unique opportunity” to renew ties.

“We have to respond to many threats and challenges at the same time,” Stoltenberg said.

“Russia and China are again acting against the rule-based international order; the constant threat of terrorism; sophisticated cyber attacks; disruptive technology and climate change. No country and no continent can tackle all these challenges alone. But Europe and North America are not alone. “We stand together in NATO,” Stoltenberg added.

Biden’s predecessor, Donald Trump, has often denigrated NATO and threatened to withdraw from the security alliance.

Recall that after 12 years in power, Benjamin Netanyahu lost the post of prime minister after the Israeli Parliament voted on Sunday a new coalition government.

The new government will be led by right-wing nationalist Naftali Bennett of the Yamina party, who was sworn in as prime minister, and will lead a broad coalition of parties.

Under the coalition agreement, Bennett, who leads the Yamina party, will hold the post of prime minister until September 2023, and then hand it over to Yair Lapid, the leader of the Yesh Atid party.
